COVID-19 Resources

In the now seventh year of the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and government public health institutions prioritizing profit over human lives, it is imperative that we all take COVID infections seriously, educate ourselves and each other, and practice collective safety.

COVID is an airborne virus that moves and hangs in the air like smoke for up to hours at a time in closed, unventilated rooms. Repeat COVID infections can drastically increase the risk of Long COVID, an umbrella diagnosis for the 200+ symptoms and post-viral chronic conditions that can severely disable anyone following an acute infection, regardless of age or former ability. Two-way masking with high-filtration, well-fitted masks currently remains the most effective way of preventing exposure, infection, and transmission, and its protection is strengthened by vaccination and air filtration.

My personal praxis involves taking a multilayered and harm reductionist approach to risk assessment and precautions. This includes combinations of masking (KN95 or N95) in all public indoor spaces and most outdoor spaces, air ventilation and filtration, vaccinations, testing, tracking and communicating exposure risks, contact tracing, avoiding high-traffic and high-risk people and places, working from home, and drastically reducing non-essential activities.

The following resources are based on community-led research, lived experience, and advocacy to resist COVID misinformation and mass death and disablement. You can also research COVID-safe(r) communities and clean air organizations local to you.
