COVID-19 Resources

In the fifth year of the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic and complete absence of any meaningful government or state support, it is imperative that we all take COVID infections seriously, educate ourselves and each other, and practice collective safety. Repeat COVID infections can drastically increase the risk of Long COVID, an umbrella diagnosis for the 200+ symptoms and post-viral chronic conditions that can severely disable anyone following an acute infection, regardless of age or former ability. Two-way masking with a high-filtration respirator mask currently remains the most effective way of preventing exposure, infection, and transmission, and its effectiveness is strengthened by vaccination and air filtration.

I am a COVID cautious therapist who practices virtually during the ongoing pandemic, recognizing the disproportionate impact the virus has on other high-risk, vulnerable, and marginalized community members. My personal praxis involves taking a multilayered and harm reductionist approach to COVID safety and precautions. This includes combinations of masking (KN95+) in all public indoor spaces, air ventilation and filtration, vaccinations, testing, communicating exposure risks before gathering with friends and family, contact tracing, avoiding high-risk people and places, and reducing non-essential activities.

The following resources are based on community-led research, lived experience, and advocacy to resist COVID misinformation and mass death and disablement. You can also research COVID-safe(r) communities and clean air organizations local to you.
